Those in the food, beverage, and hospitality fields are in the midst of an exciting time—interest in food business and food studies has grown dramatically in recent years. On local, national, and international levels, new restaurants, boutique businesses, farm initiatives, and academic programs are flourishing.
At this conference, experts will share their experiences and discuss the intersection between the practical and educational components of the food industry. Panelists will represent restaurants, independent- to large-scale retail businesses, the wine and beverage industry, sustainability in the food system, communications and media, and experiential academics. Boston’s unique culinary traditions and developments will be showcased with a seafood and wine reception, lunch by the hottest area food trucks, and a New England lobster bake. This two-day summit will feature some of the brightest talents in the food, beverage, hospitality, and food studies communities.
This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for current and prospective students of the culinary arts, beverage studies, food studies, nutrition, public policy, communications, business, and gastronomy fields to meet and mingle with some of the most established experts in the field. It is also a chance for industry leaders to network and connect with promising talent. For food-oriented professionals, entrepreneurs, students, and career changers, this conference is not to be missed.
