MongoDB and Meteor at Gander

Details
We'll have David Wihl from Raparian Data will discuss using MongoDB and Meteor at Gander (http://www.gander.io/), the email app that lets you fly through your email
Meteor is the first open-source full stack platform for developing and deploying end-to-end JavaScript applications. With observable server side models, live DOM updates, hot code pushes, latency compensation and smart synchronization baked in, it's a leap forward in making real time collaborative web applications. Meteor uses MongoDB extensively through their implementation of "mini-mongo", Meteor's client-side MongoDB emulator (https://github.com/meteor/meteor/tree/master/packages/minimongo). Gander uses Meteor to power their application and also accesses MongoDB through their iOS application. In this talk we'll learn more about Meteor, MongoDB and how both technologies power Gander.
Directions
Map (http://i.imgur.com/LozKp4Sh.jpg) Picture of entrance (http://i.imgur.com/RVFkvZ5h.jpg) Rakuten's office is in the South Station building. Facing the main entrance to South Station, head to the left side of the building. Enter the building on the side lobby underneath the number "2" sign hanging over the entrance. If there isn't someone to greet you and let you in at the door, dial the 5-digit code "52923" on the keypad to call reception. Take either elevator to the 4th floor.
We will try to put up signs and keep someone posted at the entrance to make things easier.
