UPDATE: Local IoT Leader Panel Confirmed for April 9 World IoT Day Meetup

UPDATE: Dave Stephenson will be moderating a panel with five of our local IoT leaders.

Boston and East Cambridge are an anchor in the IoT cluster that stretches from Southern NH through all of Eastern MA across the SouthCoast and into the Greater Providence market. Literally hundreds of companies are adding value in IoT across the region, nationally, globally.

And we have five excellent examples of local leading companies in this cluster confirmed for a panel that will be moderated by Dave Stephenson of Stephenson Strategies.

1. Apitronics -- Louis Thiery, Founder and CEO

2. MachineShop -- Michael Campbell, Founder and CEO

3. PTC/ Thingworx - Rick Bullotta, CTO, Thingworx

4. Sensible Baby -- Ben Cooper, Founder and CEO

5. Xively/ LogMein -- Chad Jones, VP Product Strategy

We are sure to have many more leaders in the audience, so make sure you join us for this lively Q&A, debate and discussion on the state of IoT with leaders like you.

I like the concept of "IoS" - Internet of Services. It speaks more to the value than the "stuff" that gets us there.

The thread throughout the night was that there are huge opportunities to use currently available HW, SW, standards and cloud services to provide real value--especially to existing products and services.

What is IoT? The term itself started with RFID which is a dumb terminal -- more like the telecom of things.
