Interactive Web Visualization - Study Group, Project and Networking Night

Due to the strong interest in Interactive Web Visualizations, the plan for this unstructured event will be to dive deeper on this topic.  Whereas the February project night was very broad in nature, I think having a more specific focus should help as well for folks sharing tricks of the trade and collaborating.

Agenda:  There will be about 8 round tables for which we can designate them by software and/or perhaps types of visualizations, e.g. maps, networks, dashboards. Folks will have a chance to speak to the group to talk about what they are working on. We will do this on the fly at the beginning of the event.  There is also lounge space all around, and extra chairs, too.

Many thanks to Joe for buying the first 15 pizzas!

Background on this Event: In February an "unWorkshop" was held to bring folks together to "learn, do, and share".  Based on feedback on that event, the May event will be mostly unstructured (less lectures). We will be using a wide-open setup with round tables to enable folks to work on projects and collaborate with others.

The format was as described. I discovered a deeper understanding of Tableau and also had the opportunity to discuss related technologies and topics. Excellent job, Thank you.

Hi Matthew, the event is not having any lectures; mostly people chatting, working on projects. I did upload a D3 resources deck which is in the file section of this Meetup group. If there are more decks of that nature, then would similarly post. ~John

    Hello everyone,
Looking forward to attending. I'm the clinical lead of a VA medical informatics R&D team. We are seeking two (2) data-science software developers (UX/UI-focused and/or computational-ish focused) to join our team. If you have any interest, please don't hesitate to find me. I would be happy to discuss/chat.
