Fit-for-purpose modeling & simulation in drug development

We are glad to announce the New Year edition of our event. Food and drinks will be sponsored by Novartis.

Our guest speakers for the event will be Brian P. Smith, PhD, Global Group Head Statistical Sciences, Novartis and Nikolaos Tsamandouras, PhD, Research Associate, Biological Engineering, MIT.

The title of Brian's talk is "Impact of the choice of endpoint and analysis on the ability to discern treatment effects: Why does the underlying statistical distribution used matter?"

The title of Nikolaos' talk is “A tale of model simplicity versus model complexity with the case example of Simvastatin pharmacokinetics"

5:00-5:40PM - Dr. Brian P. Smith, followed by Q&A (Havana Room)

5:40PM - 6:20PM - Dr. Nikolaos Tsamandouras, followed by Q&A (Havana Room)

6:20 pm-7:30 pm -Reception @ Venture Cafe (a few steps down the hallway from Havana Room).

• We will be serving some local craft beer and food from a local business.

All registrants are hereby notified that the organizers will take pictures during the event and will use them to promote the future events.

Participants can take pictures throughout the event and talk about it in the social media.

Event space: Both the rooms are located on the 5th floor, Cambridge Innovation Center, 1 Broadway, Cambridge MA.
