We're pleased to announce that David Bishop, Lead Systems Administrator of Synacor will be in town to discuss how they're using Riak, with a particular focus on production use of Riak Enterprise's multi-datacenter replication.

In this talk David will discuss how Synacor (http://synacor.com) uses Riak Enterprise Edition to power a cross-datacenter video metadata product behind some of the biggest ISP's portals in the business.

About David

David Bishop is an Old Systems Administrator (aka, "Senior", aka "Lead"), which means he's been around the block once or twice or fifteen times. He's done everything from turning a screwdriver at a "Mom and Pop Computer Shop" to growing a company's network from one datacenter to seven. He currently works at Synacor, the leading provider of next-gen startpages, award-winning TV Everywhere solutions and cloud-based Identity Management (IDM) services (which is actually a lot cooler than it sounds). He is a buffalo-wing connoisseur.
