In 2003 Linden Labs created Second Life, a virtual world that invites you to mold your surroundings according to your own vision, create a life of your own design and co-inhabit a community where others are fashioning their own utopian dreams.

  • Between 2003 and 2007 people flocked to the 3D digital phenomenon in droves and Second Life soared to meteoric heights. 
  • The media darling surpassed everyones' expectations as it blossomed and became the most compelling example of the emergent multidimensional web.  
  • In February of 2007 Boston Second Life was formed to enable the human beings behind the avatars to experience the fun, novelty and sheer joy of sharing real world camaraderie. 
  • Join us on the second Wednesday of each month as we dine at a local eatery in Kendall Square, Cambridge and share stories, rekindle old friendships, and make new friends.
