Love to discover new music from everywhere? Want to connect with great musicians from around the globe and other music lovers from around Boston?

We would like to get together at least once a month to share news about events, exchange playlists & new music discoveries, and discuss International Music Meetup opportunities for our group.

We're lucky here in Boston to have many chances to see live music by artists from across the globe -- check out our Calendar for notes on many upcoming shows. We encourage meetup attendees to communicate with each other for pre or post meetup functions as it's not always possible for the World Music Meetup Organizers to attend.

The Boston World Music Meetup supports International Musicians, both locally-based and abroad and provides information about Boston's International Music events to our group.

Thursday, July 9, the Coolidge Corner Theatre will present a preview screening of
THROWN DOWN YOUR HEART, a terrific documentary that follows
American banjo virtuoso Bela Fleck on his journey to Africa to
explore the roots of the banjo and record an album. Bela Fleck
will introduce the film and also perform on the banjo following
