Boston! Our July Seminar & Mixer event " Quantitative & Systems Pharmacology (QSP) in Drug Discovery" is approaching. The event features a talk by our distinguished guest speaker Tristan Maurer, PhD, Senior Director of Translational Modeling & Simulation, Department of Medicine Design, Pfizer.

The event will be chaired by Dr. Gianluca Nucci, Vice President, Early Clinical Development, Head of Clinical Pharmacology at Pfizer.

Talk title: Putting the Drug in Drug Development with Quantitative Translational Pharmacology.

In drug development, the intrinsic potential of a molecule to become a drug is sealed by the end of the lead optimization stage. This talk will cover ongoing efforts to systematically leverage a variety of quantitative translational pharmacology approaches in the early preclinical stages of R&D for the sake of putting drugs into the later, clinical stages of drug development. A special emphasis will be placed on applications in lead optimization.
