Come join us on May 25th at the CAMBRIDGE CIC at 1 Broadway (near Kendall Square). There will be pizza and drink provided, courtesy of Mozilla. We will have two speakers:

Steve Klabnik, member of the Rust core team and doc writer extraordinaire. Steve will talk about intermezzOS, his project to build an operating system in Rust. intermezzOS has a companion book teaching people introductory operating systems programming for x86_64, using assembly and Rust. He'll show off some code, talk about getting started with OSDev, and talk about the projects' future.
-
Andrew Gallant, member of the Rust libs team and author of several popular Rust libraries, including regex and docopt. He will discuss how the regex library works and some of the neat tricks it uses for optimizations.
Hope to see you there!
Location: Venture Cafe at the Cambridge CIC. The venue is wheelchair accessible and easily reached by heading to Kendall Square on the T. (Note that prior events took place at the Boston CIC, which is a different place.)
