Dear Music Lover,

Friday, March 8, 2013 midnight to midnight, celebrate International Women's Day with 24 hours of music, history, interviews, and humor with WOMR/WFMR radio. Find us on the web at www.womr.org or on Cape Cod and the Islands, in Massachusetts at 92.1 or 91.3 on your radio dial.

Women in Tanzania Enjoy a diverse, lively, inspirational day of shows produced specifically for International Women's Day by a great group of women DJs. Listen to a remarkable collection of voices from around the country and the world.

We're carrying on a tradition of honoring women going back to the early 1900's, when International Women's Day was first celebrated. The day was established to bring attention to women's rights--to work, to vote, to hold public office-and to the achievements and the plight of women around the planet.

WOMR is a community-owned and -operated station located in Provincetown, Massachusetts, which has been airing spoken-word and music shows for the past thirty years.

In this day of corporate-owned media, WOMR and her sister community radio stations are rare gems, allowing local folk access to the airwaves.

Please share this announcement with friends and colleagues  who share this interest.

If you are able, a donation would mean a lot to us

In solidarity with women around the world, we are excited to share this with you and we hope you enjoy the programs. Thank you for your support.
