Holiday Recital @ Golden West

  • Dec 8, 2012 · 3:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Our group will be performing a Holiday Recital for the Golden West Senior Living in Boulder.

All levels are welcome! This will be a great experience for beginning adult cellists who have never participated in a recital or concert before, or for cellists who want to work on their performance or ensemble skills; and at the same time give back to the community!

Our Music Director, Clayton, will not only be coaching our group, but will also be performing with us during the recital!

We have 6 rehearsals planned:

Sunday, September 23rd @ 2pm – 4pm

Sunday, October 7th @ 6pm – 8pm (time has been changed)

Sunday, October 21st @ 2pm – 4pm

Sunday, November 11th @ 2pm – 4pm

Sunday, November 18th @ 2pm – 4pm

Sunday, December 2nd @ 2pm – 4pm Dress Rehearsal

Times and dates are subject to change.

As a group, we can discuss if we want to drop or add rehearsals depending on how we feel about our performance. We may also change the times and/or dates to accommodate the group as a whole. We've already had a member request later times which we should be able to accommodate for a few of the sessions. :)

Please attend our first rehearsal to see if this is something you may be interested in doing and to provide input on dates and times to avoid future scheduling conflicts. During our first rehearsal, September 23rd, we will firm up dates and times depending on participating members availabilities.

Music selections will be posted shortly for those who want to know what we will be playing before RSVPing.

A separate password will be sent to members who RSVP to this event to access music and audios by the end of this week.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or one of the BCP team members.

I got us some black folders, 9 x 12, to use for the performance. Gemma, I'll bring them to our next rehearsal for you to hang on to until the 8th.

Hello holiday cellists! Audios for the more difficult pieces have been posted to the concert login. If there's a part you would like us to record that isn't posted please let us know. The audios are to help hear how your part fits with another part, and to also check your intonation, e.g. Adoremus Te! Have fun!! ;)
