About Mindfulness Exercises: The practice of self regulation of the autonomic nervous system. We teach integrated mind-body mental exercises to trigger a natural parasympathetic response in the autonomic nervous system. This response releases powerful neurochemicals (biochemicals) that regulate the immune system. Regulation of the immune system transforms the human body at the cellular level. This natural transformation affects our view, how we feel, and ultimately our perception of reality, it affects how we occur. "Spiritual experiences" "altered states" are common experiences among those that practice with regularity for a minimum of 20 minutes every day.
It doesn't take 10 years of sitting in a lotus position to learn how to trigger this natural mechanism. We teach this practice, while sitting in a simple chair, to children in public schools, to corporate executives and the general public. Mindfulness Exercises are quick, powerful techniques to reduce stress based on current breakthrough research in neurophysiology emphasizing the mind-body connection.
Through Mindfulness Exercises we empower you to discover for yourself how your thoughts and feelings are connected to your body’s biochemical and brainwave states through simple, yet powerful 20 minute daily exercises to foster Alpha Intelligence; the seamless flow of connection between thought and intuition. Any who has tried meditation and isn't certain they are doing it correctly or would like to restart their practice should consider joining.

On the leading edge of neuropsychology new discoveries are being published weekly. The decade of the mind is upon us. We are all learning. We are all teachers. We are all students. We are all explorers.
We know that human beings are creatures of habit. We habituate our lives by identifying with feeling states that become "normal' to us. Feelings arise from the emotional center in the brain, the limbic system. We experience emotions as images, conversation and body sensations. This is the good news. We can learn to have choice over these habitual feeling states with daily mindfulness practices.
When we let go of our habituated feeling states we realize, in an instant, that we are not "that". In a moment of awareness we realize that we have access to a full range off feeling states that have always been here, but we had forgotten how to access them. It takes courage to let go of the thoughts and emotions that we habitually experience as ourselves.
How do we let go? First we must find the courage to explore our habitual feeling states. We practice being courageous by developing new feeling states from which we experience our own awareness. From this safe place we can let go of our familiar habituated selves and we evolve.
In these Meetups we will practice mindfulness exercises to recognize, notice, observe and then access specific emotional states that trigger a natural response of the autonomic nervous system. These Mindful Exercises are fundamental to navigating interior feeling states. With practice, this new awareness invokes a 'meditative state' that naturally regulates the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. Intentional regulation of the nervous system elicits powerful and natural biochemicals that restore the immune system to optimum performance.

Mindfulness Exercises Policy Statement
Offering the free Meetups are our way to give back to the community to share this information and practices for free to as many people who want to embrace it.
Meetups are intended to support people who share a common interest in mindfulness practices. We teach and practice Mindfulness exercises in the Meetups. We share posture, breathing and fundamental mindfulness practices and some of the science that describes how the body mind connection works so everyone is empowered to recognize how to trigger this natural mechanism we each have to enter into a parasympathetic state through meditation.
We request support from all Meetup communities to help us by offering space or donating to offset our costs. If you have space or suggestions we would very much appreciate your support in identifying space.
We do teach courses. These are completely optional. We are offering a very effective and directed approach for those who want to establish a daily practice and really embed this process into their lives. It is an extremely good deal given those who sign up receive daily support from our mindfulness personal trainers. Since people who sign up for Meetups are self described as interested in mindfulness, we offer these courses to support them in their journey inside.
If you have questions about our free offer to sponsor local Meetups or the Telecourse, please contact Eric Knouse at 303-325-3143 or email me through the Meetup site.
Warmly,
Eric Knouse
