Dave Milliken has extensive experience in marketing, business strategy, and sales. Prior to co-founding Vim Funding, Dave was Vice President of Marketing for Smashburger, #99 in the 2011 Inc. 500. Previously he held positions with Coors Brewing Company, Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessey, The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, Zagat Survey, and IBM. Dave holds an MBA, finance emphasis, from NYU and a BBA from Emory University.
Jonathan Beninson is a serial entrepreneur and mentor who has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to entrepreneurship. After starting and growing several businesses, he obtained his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law. As an attorney, he coupled his affinity for entrepreneurism and law and launched his own private practice, specializing in guiding start-up and growth-oriented companies with a special focus on contracts, workforce, and intellectual property. Identifying a need in the market for clients in search of self-service legal assistance, he founded Legal Documents Online in 2006, a company focused on helping couples prepare their own legal documents without costly attorney expenses. He was approached in early 2012 by First Funder's seed stage investors for the role of CEO. He lives with his family in Westminster, Colorado.
Leigh Lepore is the Founder of Crowdfunding Strategy & Information. She advises small businesses, non-profits, and individuals on utilizing crowdfunding to grow their organizations and take their ideas to market. Leigh has successfully raised $40K for her personal campaigns and advised others on campaigns of over $100K.
Leigh started her career in engineering and business consulting with a top global firm. She later transitioned to work for a Fortune 200 financial services corporation until fulfilling her entrepreneurial spirit and successfully running a small business in San Francisco. Leigh transitioned into crowdfunding while in San Francisco where she trained with the top platforms and worked with industry partners. Since then, her passion for democratizing funding and empowering entrepreneurs has led her to raise thousands of dollars and help people around the world.
