Re: [Bound-to-Please] Princess: A true story of life behind the veil in Saudi Arabia

I didn't see the poll this time....where was I?.....anyway....since I suggested this book at our last meeting I wanted to tell everyone that it is a pretty quick read. This one will most likely take 1/2 the time it took to read The Help. Also, if you're buying it, the best book in the series is the 2nd one, Sultana's Daughters, so I would get it with Princess. This is a true story - "Sultana" is telling an American writer her story. As the 3 books progress (book 3 is Sultana's Circle) you can see how Sultana opens up more and is not as afraid to reveal more details about her life and family, even at the risk of being recognized. Book 1 is the least detailed and shocking of the three.
Looking forward to seeing you all again!

I went ahead and closed the poll so everyone would have time to go out and pick up or order their copy of the book online and still have plenty of time to read for the March meetup. The book choice is "Princess: A true story of life behind the veil in Saudi Arabia Vol 1" by Jean Sasson.
Stay tuned for details on the location. There's a tie in the polls right now, so if you have a preference please take a minute to say so.
