This workshop is for psychotherapists who wish to improve their clinical practice through the methods in Dr. Terry Marks-Tarlow's new book, Awakening Clinical Intuition: An Experiential Workbook for Psychotherapists, her latest installment in the Norton Series on Interpersonal Neurobiology (W. W. Norton & Company).
CEU's for MFTs, LCSWs, and Psychologists.
This 10 session workshop will occur the 3rd Saturday of every month spanning a 10 month period with a tentative start on April 19th, depending on participant availability for the first session.
"When immersed in therapy with a patient, clinicians are guided not only by conscious, explicit dialogues and intellectual investigation, but also by natural flows of emotion, energy and body-based information - hunches, gut feelings and behavioural impulses. These natural flows are the foundation of clinical intuition, the right-brain means by which therapists perceive and respond to relational patterns and non-conscious signals during psychotherapy."
The impressive and multi-talented Dr. Marks-Tarlow is a clinical and consulting psychologist, as well as a gifted artist, accomplished dancer and yoga teacher. She specializes in removing blocks for her clients, and more particularly in the creative process of her artistic-oriented clients and sponsees. View her two fascinating short videos about her work on her website and see how her first book inspired beautiful artistic expression through collaboration at: http://www.markstarlow.com/ .
Dr. Marks-Tarlow teaches affective neuroscience at Reiss Davis Child Study Center, is a research associate at the Institute of Fractal Research, and sits on the Advisory Board of the Global Alliance for Transformational Entertainment.
