Love stories and storytellers. Sometimes I try to be myself. I'm happy when surrounded by creative personalities
你好Suan, Welcome to the Chinese Language Meetup Group! Make sure you Rsvp for Wed! See ya then!
Shoot Suan, I can barely believe we didn't play. We play every Sunday from 12 to 5pm, and a few of us stayed until 6:30. It's our weekly meet up at Marie et Cie. We've met there four times, and each time it gets better. Sunday we had 14 players on 7 boards!! Hope to see you soon. I posted a few photos from Sunday.
Let me know a day in advance, and perhaps I'll be able to meet you there.
If your friend likes to play longer games (1:25h/40 moves 30 min/SD with 5 seconds increment) that's a very good address. My phone number is [masked]. But I'm not that easy to reach by phone so I'd recommend contacting me by email. Cheers and enjoy the rest of your weekend,
I talked with Axel, he sent this. 2 parts
The Pasadena chess club meets at the Boys and Girls Club on Del Mar. The webpage is http://www.tim-thompson.com/pasadena....
They usually play tournaments there. Yesterday a 6 round tournament started. The annual fee is $25 and tournaments are between $10-15, of which 80% is used as price money. The crowd there is very diverse in playing strength (600-2200) and also in all other respects and the playing atmosphere is very friendly.
Suan, look for Axel Muller
At the Pasadena Chess Club Friday nights. Rather far for me. I'm in Korea Town
Also- I've been using both the message feature on the
Meetup site and the email. Each with good response Times. And I'm collecting phone numbers to build a Small data base esoteric to chess players
Feel free to call me at any reasonable hour. [masked]
