Hi Yackers!,
Well another paddling season has come to an end and it's up to the hearty cold water paddlers to carry on until next May.
Next season I plan on getting our weekly paddles back on track. We'll have our regular paddles as well as continue the rec boat only paddles. And of course the full moon and Vampire paddles are a given. (my personal favorite!)
Over the winter if I come across any relative or interesting yacking info I'll pass it along.
I hope everybody has a great winter and holiday season. And if you're one of the hearty dry suit cold weather paddlers...have fun and stay safe!

The Branford Kayak Group is a local group of paddling enthusiasts looking to meet up with other that share the same interest. This group is for people of all skill levels and of all kayaking types (recreational, touring, whitewater, surfing, etc.). We also welcome canoe enthusiasts and river rafters. We meet regularly for weekly sea-kayaking in the Branford, Guilford area, but also plan other meetups both on the sound and inland. If you are a beginner this is the place to start. (However you will need to supply your own boat and equipment. There are many outfitters you can rent from.) You will meet others who can advise on where you can rent equipment and give advice before you buy any gear. If you are an experienced paddler this group is an ideal way to meet other local Paddlers. Kayakers of all levels are welcome!
