The money and the deals usually happen in "Phase 2" (investor vibes with idea, meetings happen, checks get cut). The problem is, nobody ever gets a chance to get to that phase because their "phase 1" is terrible. Phase 1 is your pitch. Unless you have a great product already making waves of traction, you will have to communicate what it is your building to people, and why its worth their time and money.
