The Armstrong Lie

Dukes at Komedia on Tuesday 4th March at 6:30 - this is the cinema's weekly cheap night (£4.50 for members, £6.50 for non)
Its not about cycling, its about how a man can lie with such conviction for years.
I am really keen to see it and would welcome some company; I'll be in the upstairs bar at Komedia from 6pm

Thanks Andy. Sounds like this is a general problem since Meg has had the same experience as me.

Good movie. Maybe it's me but I've been twice now and had no idea who is in this club or how to find people or meet them when at the cinema.

I agree with Nic - if you are new it is quite difficult to spot meet-up people - aren't there badges or something?

The "proper" hosts do have a badge but they are still not easy to see in a crowded bar. I was just a stand in last night. Next time I will wear a distinctive hat or the like.

A driven personality with such charisma is clearly a very dangerous combination! Like many I saw him as a hero through his career and felt so let down when the truth came out... but you watch the film and yet still find yourself wanting to believe (or at least make allowances). Under the circumstances that film may prove to be exactly what he hoped to - does that mean we have been hoodwinked/manipulated again?

Yes, well worth seeing. On reflection, he reminded me strongly of Tony Blair....

    Good meet-up, good chat afterwards.

Rivetting if a little disjointed. I was left with very mixed feelings about Lance. I want to hate the guy, and I should because of the way he treated, and still is treating, others, but things are not that simple.
Good chat after. Thanks to all for coming.

Excellent film, challenged my preconceptions about the issue. Good company, thanks to Andy for arranging it.

I've just booked my ticket, and there are only a few left, so I would suggest you book now, or turn up early tomorrow and hope they still have a ticket left
