Special JS YOW! Night with Brian McKenna

Details
As many of you may know, the YOW! developer conference hosts regular YOW! nights in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne and generally focus on a particular topic area. Well they are doing this again, and have decided that for September the theme will be JS!
So rather than host our normal meetup, we will be instead encouraging members to head along to the YOW! night on Wednesday 05 September to listen to Brian McKenna talk on his experimental language Roy. Roy is a language that like CoffeeScript compiles to JS and thus can work anywhere JS runs.
I'm personally very excited about this as I think YOW! hosting a JS night illustrates how seriously the broader developer community is taking the recent rise in popularity of the language. With regards to the quality of the speaker, I'm a big fan of Brian who I classify as "scary smart" but he's also a very humble guy - someone definitely worth listening to.
Finally, I have one note regarding YOW! night costings. While Nigel has worked very hard to ensure our meetups are always a free event, YOW! do charge a $10 ticket price to attend their events which helps them cover the costs of putting the event on. That said, we have been in contact with the YOW! night organisers and can provide a discount code that will provide you a free ticket should you need it. Feel free to email myself (damon.oehlman -at-gmail.com) to and I'll send you the code so you can register for free.
Now, stop stuffing around and head on over to the YOW! night registration page (http://ynbrissept2012.eventbrite.com.au/) and let's show the YOW! organisers that JS is indeed worth their time and attention:

As always, if you have any questions, feel free to get in touch with either myself, Tim or Nigel.
PS. You can feel free to RSVP here as well as register on the meetup site as well as the YOW! night registration page, but remember the YOW! night page is the one that counts!
