Global Accessibility Awareness Day 2014

On 15 May, we invite you to participate in Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) (http://www.globalaccessibilityawarenessday.org/). GAAD is a global community-driven effort whose goal is to dedicate one day to raising the profile of and introducing the topic of digital (web, software, mobile app/device etc.) accessibility and people with different disabilities to the broadest audience possible.

The target audience of GAAD is the design, development, usability, and related communities who build, shape, fund and influence technology and its use. While people may be interested in the topic of making technology accessible and usable by persons with disabilities, the reality is that they often do not know how or where to start. About the Brisbane GAAD event

T (https://www.meetup.com/Brisbane-Web-Accessibility/events/111450662/)he Brisbane Web Accessibility & Inclusive Design Meetup will, like many other Meetups in other capital cities, host a number of informative lightning talks. As an inclusive group, everybody is welcome to participate and to share something interesting to celebrate Global Accessibility Awareness Day. Talks will be 5 - 10 minutes in length and a computer with projector will be available for use.

Everyone is invited, it will be a great opportunity to share knowledge with you peers, learn something new as well as be a part of this growing global event!
