Hi. I am in for the billboard idea. I can kick in something too.

we have been doing some thinking about paying for an atheist themed billboard somewhere in Brisbane.

I did some research on bill board costings and Goa have quoted $2200 for one month's usage of a bill board.

Work off $2000 ex GST for a month

We currently have 119 members but only around 101 are 'active' as defined by Meetup (i.e. they have an active email address).

If we use a price including GST of $2200 and approx 100 members that's - $22 each for a month of advertising...which I think would generate
considerable interest around town and in the media!

Or even if only 50 contributed that's only $44 each!

What so you think?

We would need to make a decision on the content of the bill board of course...

But we need some agreement on the content...

Susan, Tony & I were talking after the meeting tonight about the using the slogan "Imagine no religion"...and then have a photo shop of the earth
with various different types of people, sexes, sexualities etc.

We did discuss using the classic twin towers/9-11 picture but I thought it may be too negative and may turn people off immediately especially
theists...the other picture would at least let them think about the concept of a world with no religion for a while...

What does everyone think? Other ideas? How many would contribute to the financial side of things?

Also I need to find out more details about what is included in the $2200: does it include artwork, printing of the poster itself, and what location
is this for ? etc.

But we want to find out roughly how many people would be interested in contributing financally to this.

Pls let me know.
