talk tools!

We touched them in our first meetup but there are tools-a-plenty for MySQL DBAs and Developers alike. We'll take a whistle-stop tour around the ecosystem of tooling. From there we can make some plans on where the group would like to spend more time going forward.

Thanks all for coming. Glad you all made it through a venue change and noisy environment. We hope you enjoyed and took away some new ideas or lengthened your 'todo' lists. Congratulations to Marti for winning the PLUK ticket. For all the runners up we hope the swag fills the hole left in your heart. Andy

Hi all - very sorry for the late notice but we've been advised there is an event on at the Watershed tonight so our chances of getting a quiet area are likely pretty slim. We've phoned around and have managed to get a space at a bar called The Big Chill on small street - directions can be found here: http://wearebigchill.com/venues/bristol/

The pt-toolkit is as popular as it is helpful; We will have a look around the tools, throw up some demos. I'll also give some overview of other tools that are also helpful such as backup tools, common_schema and perhaps some demos there also.

What are you using personally? Are you building things for your own needs that you would like to see open sourced and used by the community?
