November's Southwest Developer Meetup

On Thursday November 22nd, we are organising the next Salesforce developer meet-up in Bristol, UK.

This remains a totally open doors event, so please drop in if you can. We're looking to exchange ideas and experiences with developing in Apex and Visualforce, and the top-topic this month will be the Winter 13 release, which we're all very excited about...

The evening is really about getting to know the local SFDC developer community over a few drinks, as a new group we're keen to get a base of members interested in the idea, and then we'll plan to grow it into a full-blown community event!

We should mention that have been kind enough to arm us with a box of swag, so attendance is sometimes rewarded with text books and baseball caps!

The plan this month is to meet at The Llandogger Trow, in central Bristol, ( any time after 18:00, and take it from there.

The Llandogger Trow offers a wide range of ciders, beers, soft drinks, and also does brilliant food, for the price. It's just a 10 minute stroll from Temple Meads train station, and surrounded by parking and public transport. There is plenty of room in it's four fairly distinct rooms, but there should be no problem finding a cluster of developers in baseball caps, loudly discussing governor limits.

See you there!

It was great, dispite of the "lovely" weather, but it was really good to see new faces!

A great night, despite the monsoon, with plenty to talk about.

It looks likes the weather should have cleared up by Thursday, so hopefully this meetup won't be as soggy as the last! Great to see some new members too; looking forward to it.

I think you should retract this comment...

I'm delighted to inform you that attendance to our November meetup will be rewarded with a couple of FREE DRINKS, courtesy of Salesforce themselves!

Has there ever been a better time to be a community-aware Salesforce developer in the Southwest? Probably not. Make mine a Thatchers Gold :D

    See you tomorrow.

Absolutely, I received the final submission confirmation email this morning. Results in 12 weeks! That's a long wait.

@Simon Does this mean you wont be attending due to "Ongoing Litigation"?
@Chris I think we will have t get you to do a mini talk on the trials of the 501 :)

Can I just say, I was at the Llandogger last night for a Drupal Developers meetup, and it was a superb venue. Great prices, 3 real ales (and a range of other standard draught lagers and ciders)... no music to compete with, and I don't know if they have some sort of competition going on, but the *friendliest* staff I've ever met!!
