'Join us at a premiere of La Pirogue (The Boat) at the Riverside Studios on the 17th November. Acclaimed at the recent Cannes Film Festivals as one of the most important works to come out of Francophone African cinema in the last year, it tells the harrowing tale of an attempted boat journey from West Africa to the Spanish territory of the Canary Islands.

'The event benefits the on-going work of the presenters in migrant rights and launches 'Our Day 2013', a month-long series of events organised by UK migrants' rights groups culminating on 18 December, the United Nationals official International Migrants Day.
