Migrant Voice workshop : Engaging with your MP

This sounds like a worthwhile event given the numbers of BritCits engaging their MPs and MEPs. Migrant Voice are a good bunch of people and it's a good opportunity to get to know them better.

In line with Migrant Voice's aims to promote migrant voices in the debate on migration, whether at a policy level or in the media, the Migrant Voice parliament week event focuses on understanding the role of your MP and learning how to contact and lobby them effectively to have your voice heard.

Neil Gerrard, Former MP and Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Refugees will lead the workshop and share with participants his 18 years’ experience as an MP and an advocate for a fairer society. This will be followed by a networking reception.

The event is open to all members of the Migrant Voices for Change Network in London and to other members of the public. Please feel free to circulate this invitation to others.
