BronyCon Summer 2012

Welcome, fillies and gentlecolts, to the meetup page for BronyCon Summer 2012, on June 30th - July 1st!

Please be sure to read the important information at the bottom of this description if it's your first time here.

Here you can register for the convention of the ages, held in wonderful Secaucus, New Jersey's Meadowlands Convention Center! It's a simple drive: just get off at Exit 17 on I-95 in New Jersey, follow Harmon Meadow Blvd, and then take a right on Plaza Drive. There's plenty of parking for anyone driving in for a day, and most of the convention hotels are a short walk or shuttle away from the convention proper.

For those of you coming from New York though, no need to drag the car out of its garage. It's a fifteen minute bus ride from the Port Authority Bus Terminal on 42nd Street. You can find bus information at http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/bus/T0320.pdf; as of the time of writing, the gate number at the Port Authority Bus Terminal is 231. (Note please that gate number is not the same thing as bus number.)

We've got a star-studded line up waiting for you at the Meadowlands on both days. Our illustrious list of Guests of Honor includes everyone's favorite Lauren Faust, the original creator of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic! That's far from it however, and just from the list of guests, you can tell this is going to be our biggest convention ever.

John de Lancie, the avatar of Chaos himself, will be working himself out of the woodwork to stop down and grace us all with his presence. And Tara Strong, the voice of everyone's favorite egghead, Twilight Sparkle, will be joining us for the weekend. The voice of Steven Magnet and Snips, Lee Tockar will be making his way down to the Garden State just for all of us. Peter New, everypony's favorite laconic farmpony is making the long haul, leaving the farm in the care of the rest of the Apple family in his absence. It also looks like Luna's got a bit of a workload that weekend, for our fair ruler Princess Celestia, voiced by Nicole Oliver, will be there as well!

We will also be hosting Amy Keating Rogers, who is responsible for the fantastic writing on some of our favorite episodes, such as Mystery on the Friendship Express, The Best Night Ever, and The Last Roundup!

We couldn't go a convention without getting some of our favorite six ponies back though, right? And it's for that reason that Andrea Libman, voice of Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie, will be making the trek out to meet and greet you all, um, if you don't mind, that is...

In addition, don't forget that Twilight's sent Spike to take notes for her this year. Cathy Wesluck, voice of Spike, has also joined our guests, and with BronyCon approaching the population of Ponyville, she should feel right at home.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: No tickets will be sold at the door. RSVPs are required. If you do not pre-register on this site, and pre-pay, you will unfortunately have to be turned away at the door.

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS: When you select RSVP, you will be redirected to a PayPal window where the price of a full day pass per guest you've entered will be listed. If you are using one of the discounted rates (child rate, one day), please instead calculate out the correct total and enter it into the box before proceeding. Once payment has been processed, if you are using any reduced rate, please send a message to the group organizer(s) so that we can make a note of your status.

Reduced Rates: If you are 15 or younger, you can attend the convention for a reduced rate ($32.50 for a weekend pass, $20.00 for a one day badge), and if you are 10 and under, you can attend for free. All members that are of age 13 and under must register together with a supervising parent or adult. Please refer to the registration instructions above for information on how to redeem your reduced rates.

One Day Badges: If you can only attend the convention for one day, the price is $40.00. Please refer to the registration instructions above for information on how to register for a single day.

Bar none, the most amazing con yet. There's really no written review that can do this justice. Everything about this con just oozed awesomeness. The guests, the people, the staff, and even the little surprises that popped up here and there. For my part, it was just incredible being among the friends that I already knew from before, meeting new ones, and seeing some for the first time in person.

So I'm a few paychecks richer, and ready to spend on spare / extra pony stuffs when I notice that the vendor list from Bronycon 2012 is gone. Yeah, it's been a while, but a lot of that stuff was awesome. Any chance that anypony here has a copy of it? Was it in the program? (If so, gotta dig that out)

Go join bronies nyc on meetup, then find Kar on the member list. She was Vendor Hall manager, she is happy to help you find any vendor you want to contact.

Oh my gosh, does anyone know this Fluttershy? http://www.meetup.com/BronyCon/... I'm really curios where he got the suit..

I spoke to him at length. The suit is vintage- it belongs to his father. I think it was made about 1970 or so. I love that the hat is a perfect match. Places that make clothes for night club entertainers and cruise ship singers do make this kind of stuff now, but not with those lapels.

So, I lost my BronyCon badge somewhere along the I-90 Corridor in eastern MA. I'm pretty sure it fell off the lanyard in the Framingham rest stop on the westbound side of the highway. If any of you happen to find it in your travels, please let me know ASAP? I'd be more than happy to pay to have it shipped.

This year for the 2012 bronycon I had my 2002 mustang gt up for display and signed by lauren faust. I have invested thousands more into swag and other accessories into/for the car and I would love to donate for the next con and have it for display again in 2013 if there is anyway to make this possible I am open for any suggestions and input to get inside the show again

ATTENTION EVERYPONY. I announced earlier how i got tradecardsonline.com to add the MLP cards to their site. However, i was not able to get the info for some of the cards. If anypony knows the: Name, Card # (1 of 84, #F12, G1, etc...), Card Rarity (not the pony; common, rare, etc...), Type Of Card (character, scene, location), and the Text/Discription on the cards for the foil cards #F29-#F36, #F38, and #F39. Without them, the site will not have all the info they need to finish the set.

So...Anypony with the cards may make an account for free on the website and add their cards to their haves, the cards they need to their wants, and make trades across the globe!! HAVE FUN EVERYPONY!!!!!!!!!

Hey all. I am just curious if anyone knows who the vendor was that was selling the set of the Mane 6 cutie mark dice? I have had my Fluttershy die stolen, and wanted to know who the vendor was so I could contact him. Thanks.

    August 2, 2012

    • Benjamin R.

This is terrible D: I can just hear Fluttershy now. "You do not... I repeat! YOU. DO NOT. STEAL. MY. DICE. Do you understand me?" (You have just heard that in Flutters voice)

Actually, that is something that would be very awesome. A list of contact websites for Vendors so that we can get in touch to buy more stickers, dice, keychains, knick-knacks, flim flams, and assorted stuffs.

That would be an excellent idea. It would be perfect!!!

In case anyone missed out on an autograph signing, but really wanted something, for sale is an official poster with not only 4 signatures, but an original drawing by Lauren Faust! Somebody give it a good home!

There was someone taking a lot of pictures on and off the stage during the concert intermission who took a picture of myself and rinachan with Tara Strong, and also a lot of people who took pictures at the cosplay photoshoot on day one. Anyone have any of those pictures? I wanna see!

    July 31, 2012

Hello all my pony friends! I just got a PS3, and am now going under the handle Luna Brony 1906. Feel free to add me, I love meeting new bronies/people!

    July 21, 2012

Super efficient sign in (for badge on Friday)! I'd hoped Hasbro would have a kiosk. Having the con in one giant room wasn't the best for sound. 8^) Great to see and hear all the talent behind the show and community.

    July 21, 2012

  • Nicholas F.

First con ever and hopefuly not my last.

    July 18, 2012

  • Baking B.

It's pretty obvious trolling and baiting. The fact that he got the state wrong, ignored the reputable famous bronies, and never once asked 'Why do you like the show?', but asked 'Which pony are you attracted to?' half a dozen times just screams of someone who wants indignant callers and commenters going to his show and twitter page to generate more public attention. Don't forget that the Washington Post, AP, and WSJ reach the public too.

    July 17, 2012

  • Sarah - N.

Yeah! Screw Howard Stern. The guy has always been a big bully. No one takes him seriously anyway. :-)
