The first "Brooklyn Accordion Club" meeting is scheduled on Sunday, February 10th, 2013 from 2pm to 4pm at Local 61 (2nd floor) in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. Local 61 is just around the corner from Bergen (F, G) stop, and only several blocks away from Borough Hall (2, 3, 4, 5) or Jay Street Metro Tech (A, C, N, R).

  2. Eric Harrod - Tom Waits, Beirut etc. 4. Matthew "Max" Fass - Balkan music

If the first meeting goes well, the Brooklyn Accordion Club plans to meet on the 2nd Sunday on even number months (Feb, April, June, August, October, December) at the same time and location.

At the meeting, three or four volunteer will perform, and during the intersession, participants can meet new friends (or future duet partners) and exchange ideas! (Admission: $3 dollar suggested donation. The donation will cover the space rental fee.)

The Brooklyn Accordion Club operates entirely with the help of the volunteers.
Your help and involvement is greatly appreciated! At the each meeting, we will need volunteers for...

-Front door welcome performer (outside... just for 15 min. or so before 2pm)
-Set up/break down chairs
-Donation table personnel

And of course, we will be taking calls for performers! Your skill level is not important! One of the mission of this meeting is to provide performing opportunities for players of all levels!

Please email the following information if you are interested in performing to brooklynaccordionclub@gmail.com. I would like to ask the performers to donate $5 dollars per person to cover the space rental fee.

  4. Skill level (beginner/intermediate/advanced/professional)
