Let's get together for PCR and Pizza!

Details
PCR (polymerase chain reaction) is one of the fundamental techniques of molecular biology, and a great way to get your hands wet in the lab. A few years ago, two NYC high school students became famous for using PCR and DNA barcoding to test their food, showing that local sushi restaurants were lying about their fish and expensive goat cheese was sometimes made of cow's milk. Do your Ikea meatballs contain horsemeat? Bring a sample and we'll show you how to test it! A fun night of pizza, beer, discussions and of course PCR.
