[Brooklyn Coded] Mailing list enabled

Hello fellow coders,

I have enabled the mailing list in order to provide better communication between members:

[address removed]

I do not want to create a long list of rules but ask you to limit the subject matter to coding in Brooklyn.

What is not OK:

1. Job postings.

2. Posting a job.

3. Anything resembling a job posting.

What is OK:

1. Promoting an event in Brooklyn (or maybe a little outside Brooklyn on that smaller island).

2. Educating us about a company you have or work for in Brooklyn.

3. Too many other things to list ...

I realize that part of coming to a meetup may be to network, and ultimately find work. This is fine, I encourage coding for both free and money. However, if you are a coder looking for a coder to hire, come to a meetup and code, things will lead from there.

So, please think before you send to the list and ask yourself, would I consider this spam?
