Prepare for Node Knockout Competition and meet fellow Coders

Due to the difficulties and complications brought on by Hurricane Sandy, we thought it best to reschedule for next week on Wednesday, November 7th at the same time (6:30 PM).

Please update your calendar and be sure to RSVP. Hopefully this time will be more convenient for everyone.

Looking forward to seeing you at the Meetup,

Loren & Pelle

Top order of business: We need you to RSVP so we can make sure we'll have food and beverage for all.

Now that we have the preliminaries taken care of, let's get to the real reason for the meeting... Node Knockout takes place a mere 10 days later. Node has been been evolving at an ever increasing pace, the wealth of NPM based packages is staggering, and the number of teams competing has basically doubled since last year (178 teams 2011, and as of tonight 328 team for 2012). If you want to be up on new tools, techniques, and possibly meet and connect with other talented folks, this meetup is definitely the place to be.

We are holding our Brooklyn Node JS Meetups at the NYU-Poly Incubator located in the Dumbo section of Brooklyn. We will start 6:30 PM and go on as long as we need.

If you are the coding type, you are encouraged to bring your laptops. If you haven't coded in Node and are simply curious, we are sure you'll learn a lot and meet lots of interesting people. Besides, you get a free meal out of it.

Seriously, we think it is worth the trek to explore the Dumbo area of Brooklyn and visit the NYU-Poly Incubator.

Looking forward to meeting you at the Meetup,

Loren & Pelle

Hello, is this happening still since the storm took the subway system out? I don't imagine it will be up and running tomorrow. I won't be able to make it then...
