October BucharestJS Meetup

Details

Our next BucharestJS Meetup is scheduled for 28th of October and it's going to be a SPECIAL one!

The BucharestJS community is growing! We're getting closer to 1,000 members and what better way to celebrate this moment than with an AWESOME BucharestJS T-Shirt (it will be unveiled on the 28th)!

VisionMobile was kind enough to sponsor us and by taking their Developer Economics survey you'll automatically win your own BucharestJS T-Shirt. No raffle!

*** But hurry, only the first 100 BucharestJS T-Shirts are guaranteed ***

Developer Economics (http://vmob.me/DE1Q16BucharestJS) (by VisionMobile) is the largest, most global developer research program, reaching 13,000+ developers in over 140 countries. By taking part in their research, participants can also win awesome prizes like an MS Surface 3, Lumia 635, iPhone 6s, Parrot AR Drone 2.0, Blackberry Passport, as well as one of 200 Amazon vouchers!

We're also happy to announce this edition's main sponsor (you know it: beer & pizza!), our dear friends from 4PSA (http://www.4PSA.com).

Here's the agenda:

• 18:30 - Participant's arrival

• 19:00 - Intro notes & unveiling the BucharestJS T-Shirt!

• 19:15 - Publish your code as HTTP services - Marfar® by Alexandru Carstoiu, 4PSA

Marfar is a lightweight framework for web services that make extensive use of HTTP semantics, translating automatically HTTP requests into JS function calls and the resulting JS objects into HTTP responses.

• 20:00 - There’s garbage in our code by Adrian Oprea, JavaScript Developer

Adrian will speak about a series of problems that come with ageing: memory and garbage. Even though the terms don’t quite match, you’ll get useful insights on the language that runs on your Pebbles and selfie-drones, and you'll also hear Adrian speak about JavaScript.

• 20:45 - Closing notes, beer & pizza (courtesy of 4PSA)

Don't miss this one and feel free to invite 1-2 friends that might be interested in joining the meetup and make sure to find us on Facebook ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/BucharestJS ) and Twitter ( http://www.twitter.com/bucharestjs ).
