Visiting Ohio's State Forests to celebrate their beauty and diversity. 2011 is the International Year of the Forest, lets celebrate by visiting forests that are owned by all Ohioans. Hikes will take place across the state and begin at 11am. Water and snacks will be provided, please bring your own water container. Every other month hikers are invited to bring their pets. Outdoor enthusiasts, nature lovers and pet owners are welcome. July 9 Blue Rock State Forest, pet friendly hike. August 13 Maumee State Forest. September 10 Scioto Trail State Forest, pet friendly hike. October 8 Hocking State Forest. November 12 Shawnee State Forest, pet friendly hike.
