Focused and Fearless: A Meditator's Guide...

Meditation turns out to be beneficial for physical health, mental health, concentration, attention, and more...

And despite my intent to make Meditation a part of my life's habits, I haven't succeeded. I've been unclear about what it is exactly that I should do. I find many of the resources on the topic amorphous and difficult to follow.

Recently, I came across two books of Shaila Catherine at Amazon. The book reviews are stellar and I've decided to make Ms. Catherine's work the foundation of my next try at it.

Beginning in October, and at least through the month of December, I would be pleased to meet with others also interested in strengthening their Meditation effort through discussion of Ms. Catherine's ideas as expressed in her books.

At the first meeting on October 2nd, we will begin with her book entitled Focused and Fearless: A Meditators Guide to States of Deep Joy, Calm, and Clarity. During the first meeting, I hope we can cover the content of the entire book, but especially pages 1 to 166.

I assume some others might be interested in continuing the discussion, and I'd like to continue through her second book entitled Wisdom Wide and Deep: A Practical Handbook for Mastering Jhana and Vipassana.

At the first meeting, we'll see how it goes and determine together the pace at which to proceed.
