PARADE SAFETY REMINDERS (PLEASE REVIEW):

1) Please have your dog(s) on a harness leash if you have one for the parade walk. This is the safest way to go. Dogs should be on leashes the entire walk please (unless they are sitting on laps safely in our wiener wagon truck or convertible)

2) One person walking each dog participating is encouraged. This is another way to keep dogs SAFE during the parade route. If you are alone and would like help for multiple dogs, please check in with Emily and she will help find someone to assist you if needed.

3) Be vocal if you do NOT WANT parade attendees petting your dog. The parade route is VERY loud, with many screaming, often very excited (drunk) attendees and small children. Some have been known to walk directly up to the dogs to pet them, so a harness is the safest way to go to keep your dog in line and safe. If you need to tell people NOT to pet your dog, speak up so that we can keep the walk moving swiftly and safely. We do not want anyone bitten by a frightened dog.

4) Friends and family are encouraged to walk with us, please feel free to invite them to walk with the group!

Again, the crowd can be VERY rowdy so please be mindful of loud and intense crowds. Some dogs who are nervous, scared or timid and afraid may want to be left at home or ride in the wiener wagon with their people.

Hi,
I don't know if you are bringing the banner, but my husband Harold is willing to hold up one end.
