Hadoop and R with Brent Sitterly of KSV

Details
The second in Brent's ex post facto series on unstructured reporting, the first was my Shiny web app talk. The spirit of this talk will be to highlight how data is traditionally thought of and how its different from the present and future paradigms for data.
This will be a high level talk on R + Hadoop = RHadoop. The agenda will include:
• Short blurb on my idea of unstructured reporting(e.g. Tableaux (http://www.tableau.com/))
• A shot blurb on Structured data vs Unstructured data
• A short intro to Hadoop, Map/Reduce and all that jazz
• A short intro to RHadoop (https://github.com/RevolutionAnalytics/RHadoop/wiki) with an example
• A QA session, to let some of the hadoop experts I see on the right rail chime in.
As a caveat I'm not an expert in Hadoop I'm something of a Hadoop fanboy, but I will show a working example of RHadoop.
EDIT - we'll be having some snacks but probably not pizza as we try to arrange corporate sponsorship. Apologies for the change!
