This winter I came thiiiiiiiiis close to getting on a new survival show on the Discovery Channel. The show is called Naked and Afraid. The premise is that they put 2 people together without any survival gear or clothing and they had to survive in a remote wilderness area for 3 weeks with absolutely nothing. Well not nothing, they get some tools, which I think defeats the purpose of being naked.
I haven't seen it yet and I'm curious to see if I dodged a bullet or if I'm the survival star who almost was.
This is a fun, free social event for 21 yr-olds and over. Feel free to bring a friend, pop in, pop out, just RSVP with a guest if you're bringing someone.
I've reserved a room at the Spaceroom Lounge where we can watch survival skills and blurred private parts in air conditioned luxury.
We'll be watching Terror in Tanzania 7pm so feel free to pop in and chat while we watch it. I should be there around 6:30 to hang out and chat with folks.
This is meant to be kind of a mingling event and I'd love the opportunity to meet new members or chat with returning folks since there isn't always time to talk during classes.
The space is limited so sign up soon and make sure to drop if you can't make it.
I'm also promoting my new survival website, AlexLeavens.com and if you haven't heard yet, I'm giving away a Swedish Hatchet at the end of this month. All folks need to do is sign up for my blog email list.
Hope to see you there,
