THE ONE MINUTE CHALLENGE- In aid of the UNICEF

Free entry- voluntary donation for audience -There will be poets as special guests (Errol Mc Glashan, Mell Nyoko..)

...and I will tell stories indeed!

The One minute speech challenge idea:

Some people raise funds from their friends and family telling them they are going to run a marathon for a charity.

If taking up a challenge is what works, why not jumping on a stage?

I was touched by the pictures the UNICEF sent to me of Syrian children living in camps..

Now, here is how it works: contestants raise a few quid to subscribe (suggested amount £25 / compulsory minimum £12) then register here:

https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-one-minute-challenge-tickets-10103851893 for a one minute speech.

Do come along as audience and support the heroes on stage !

 cheers

Jean-Marc

We have raised £614 altogether that will go to the UNICEF - As I told to the audience, the organization fees are on me so that every single pounds that you gave actually serve helping the children.

Hello ! How are you ?Are you still up to this meetup?

I have created a meetup group for that: http://www.meetup.com/Speak-up-for-charity/ However the meetup adviser mislead me into writing only charity topics and I didn't get that many people. However, I have already 10 contestants who have signed up, five helpers on the day and most probably about 25 audience so far..... so I keep battling to fill my 100 seats room, but it will happen ! So this is just a reminder for the single units like you scattered here and there...

Don't hesitate to contact me for any questions or encouragement you may have :-)
