Tuesday Night Recreational Volleyball

What's the best part of networking? Having fun while making great contacts!

This Tuesday we will be playing volleyball as normal, and we will also have a good old fashioned BBQ in the park!

If you want to come to the BBQ after the games, please post in your RSVP what you'll bring to share: Grilling food (hotdogs, burgers, chicken, Boca, etc.) , side dish, veggies or dessert.

What this is:
This is sand volleyball in Oakbrook Terrace at Drennan Park..
Hanging out in the park.
This is just pure fun.

A little confusing to get to at first (see map and directions)

What this is not
This is NOT a league.
This is definitely NOT serious volleyball.
There are no umpires.

Registration
You must register through Meetup to be able to play.

Fee
We'll be collecting a $2 fee cover miscellaneous expenses like bug spray, nets, balls and other equipment.

Can't play?
That's OK, we don't care. We're not that good anyway.
We'll even attempt to teach you although we're not qualified.
We do try for three hits, but it doesn't always happen. We're really there to have fun.

Location:
Dorothy Drennon Park
Eisenhower Rd At Nimitz Rd
Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181

The volleyball court is easy to find by following Eisenhower or Karban Roads west. Look for the large open field.

Parking:
Park on the south side of the street near the line of cars with your right tires on the sidewalk. If your tires are on the grass, you risk getting a ticket from the Oakbrook Terrace police.

Getting there from the West:

1. 88 (east) to Midwest Road exit
2. Midwest Road (north) to 22nd St.
3. 22nd St (east) to MacArthur Rd.
4. MacArthur Rd. (north) to Karban Rd. (first street you see)
5. Left on Karban Rd.
6. Follow Karban Rd. all the way around the corner till you see the park on your left.
7. Park behind the line of cars on the right hand side across from the park.
   (Park with your right tires on the sidewalk, but NOT on the grass or you will get a ticket.)

From the East:
If you can get to 83 and 22nd St (Oakbrook Mall), MacArthur Rd. is the first St.
west of 83 on 22nd st. It's on the north side of 22nd st. Follow step 4.

Weather
Rules for the game being on

1. temperature is 65 or above (some time that day)
2. and if it rains that day the rain must have stopped by 4:30
3. If it is raining on your way there, turn around.
4. If in doubt call Jason at 773-829-1276.
