No Dance Experience Necessary

Details-

This is open to anyone who wishes to participate, as no dance experience is required. Guys are welcome.

Those interested in dancing should like the Community Bollywood Dance Project facebook page (http://www.Facebook.com/CommunityBollywoodDanceProject) in addition to RSVPing, and send/post a message that they plan to participate.

Cost-

NO COST - IT'S FREE, but $5 donations for Philabundance, are accepted.

Performance -

The performance is a Bollywood dance workshop, where we'll be demonstrating moves on stage while Swati (the choreographer and teacher) explains them with a microphone. Once we've gone through it once, then we'll all perform the dance!

All dancers must report to the Art Museum at 2:30pm. We're done by 4pm.

Rehearsals -

There's going to be two in-person rehearsals, approximately 90 minutes each. The last rehearsal is mandatory. Dates and venue for the rehearsals will be posted soon.

Attire-

The workshop performance will be pretty simple, since Swati doesn't want to make people spend money to be identical, wear whatever is in your closet.

• Bright-colored shirt/tunic, preferably with sequins- if that's unavailable, a white t-shirt
• Long, bright-colored scarf
• Dark blue jeans, shorts or leggings (it'll be hot, so she's flexible)
• BIG accessories - big hoop earrings & lots of bangles, which can be found in any dollar or beauty supply store.
• Sneakers or dance shoes - NO FLIP FLOPS
