Cape Coral Monthly Meeting

This is a place where we can take donations, control who attends and have a snack during the meeting.  This room is being donated by the owners because they feel and think the way we do.

The Cape Coral 912 Project Monthly meeting will be held at Rodino's Pizzeria. We meet every second Saturday of every month.  Have coffee or Tea and maybe even a pizza after the meeting to mingle with the other 912 patriots. Our format is educational and patriotic. We believe in limited government and believe that personal responsibility rather than governmental dependence is the key to our country's continued success. Join us at this critical time in our country's history. Now is the time for action, not apathy. Help us take back America.

Our guest speaker this month is Lee County Sheriff Staff Officer, Joseph Caiazza.  He will be discussing concealed carry.

In addition, Kathy and Dave Doan will give a power point presentation on the data mining in Common Core.

Educating our children in the Constitution and the teachings of our founders is the most important item on our agenda. The children are our future and the future is bright.

"Life is a gift, Freedom is a responsibility."

Thank you. I need some education too. Please, tell me because we are getting the same answer all over. How is it political to keep our money? Isn't part of the Constitution to keep and be safe with our property. It would really help so I know what to say. Thank you for sharing. Richard did awesome too. So proud to have met him.

August we have a presentation on mentoring from the Foundation. This will give everyone a chance to make a real difference in a students life and help teach him or her about our real republic. Can you imagine if everyone took a child under their wing, what a difference it would make to our republic

September will be on Agenda 21 by Dr. Scoma. He and I are the only 2 left of the original organizers that began Cape 912 in 2010.

Any more ideas on presentation subjects or if you want to give a talk or presentation please let me know. Cape 912 is about everyone. I feel that I am just a facilitator.

I am with you Greg. Kathy in not a professional presenter, but I thought it important to hear some of this info before common core gets to far. It is people like Kathy however, that get out there and actually do something.

I wasn't too happy either but you must remember that she has no Training. I could have given the same presentation in 30 minutes. But she did her best and I was real proud of her for her hard work and the concern that you could feel that she had on the subject. I honestly think that most of these presentations could be given by members if told to prepare a month out.

I'm involved with Cap Cape Taxes a group of concerned citizens who are collecting signatures for two petitions to change the way things are done in the city. As much of you are aware the UN Agenda 21 practice of increased taxation under the umbrella of "sustainable" and "smart growth" code words are being used to do land grabs and to decimate the middle class. Today, at city council meeting we will be there to say our piece. Please get involved. City Council is on a rampage increasing taxation through the electric bill and now through the fire fighters' property tax increase. We all the citizens of Cape Coral need to work in order to educate others on what is really happening to our beautiful city. Please join us at www.capcapetaxes.com. We are also on facebook and both petitions are available for download and printing. You can mail to the address at the bottom of the forms. Please help us spread the word "WE ALL LIVE HERE".

I thought Joe's presentation was great! There were, and still are a lot of misunderstandings about concealed carry laws and I was interested on his suggestion of weapon for home defense.
The Common Core information was important, but I'm afraid much got lost in the length of the presentation.

I messed up on the mechanics of the meeting. I arrived 15 minutes early. I did not see anyone ordering food so I didn't order. Also I asked how to give a donation to the organization and was told there would be a 50-50. That collection must have also happened before I arrived. Next time I will know how everything works.

I enjoyed Sheriff Joe's presentation on personal protection. I was also glad to be made aware of the Common Core issue, although the presentation got a little long. Here is a letter I e-mailed to Governor Scott on the Common Core issue:
    Dear Governor Scott:
"I am very disturbed that Florida is using the Common Core standards. I think it is unconstitutional for the federal government to impose educational standards on the states. Where in the Constitution does a National Association of Governors have any standing. I do not like the curriculums. The Math is dumbed down. The English includes the American founding documents which I believe will give a distorted view of our history to push this administration's agenda. I do not like the data mining which includes finding out the student and their families political idealogies. We have seen what the IRS has done with this information.
I am asking you to abandon this national curriculum."

You can't make them all Rick. Glad to see Dr. Lou Scoma. He and I are the only 2 left of the original group that started Cape 912 in 2010.

I have scheduled an officer to discuss concealed carry because I was asked by 3 people and I am concerned that many with new licenses may carry improperly and do not know the laws. The floor will be open to discussing when he has concluded.

    Welcome all.
