Announcing a new Meetup for Corpus Christi Atheists!

What: First Ever SCIENCE WORKS Discussion Group

When: Thursday, April 15,[masked]:00 PM

Where: (A location has not been chosen yet.)

Many people have expressed wanting to have a topic driven discussion group that centers around science and modern questions.

For a topic, why don't we ask the question: What previously 'unanswerable' questions have been answered or are soon to be answered by scientific developments? Are there any questions that our outside our ability to address? I recommend bringing in an article to share (or maybe just some Mythbusters clips), and we'll go around the room presenting and discussing each topic.

As a starter, I recommend watching this video by Sam Harris at TED 2010, about how moral value IS measurable, and therefore within the realm of science to describe.

Location will be either TAMUCC, or Coffee Waves nearby.
