David E. Stanley was first exposed to the art of film making as a young boy while growing up on the back lots of film studio giants like MGM and Paramount where he watched his stepbrother Elvis Presley make movies. At the age of 16 he began working and touring with Elvis as a personal aide and bodyguard. From 1972 to 1977 he did hundreds of shows with his world famous stepbrother and was part of some of the most historical concert events of the 20th century. Today David is a writer, producer, director and founder & president of Impello Films, Inc. His most recent feature film Protecting The King, a film based on his years with the King of Rock & Roll, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival 2007 where it received worldwide critical acclaim. In addition, David is a top consultant in the areas of motion picture development, film finance, capital compliance, investor relations, and distribution. As a writer/producer David taps into his ability to write and produce stories that create dramatic contrasts and access a wide range of human emotions. He is currently producing his next feature film project Restoring My Father's Honor. A true story driven by a son's determined pursuit to restore the honor of his deceased father, the film reveals a truth that has been buried more than 50 years. David is also currently working on his new book, "Conversations With The King", Journals of Young Apprentice. He has been a frequent guest on Larry King Live, appeared on shows like 20/20, Good Morning America and CBS This Morning and has been the source of numerous articles for such publications as Life Magazine. He lives in Los Angeles, California.
