    Origin of Zombie Jesus Day

The first use of this phrase was November 7, 1999 on the show Furturama episode “When Aliens Attack” The popularity of Zombie Jesus has grown quickly since 2005. In 2009 Comedian Jamie Kilstein released a comedy album Zombie Jesus

Zombie Jesus pokes fun at Christianity by mocking Jesus’ rising from the dead. According to this, this only way Jesus could have possibly resurrected is if he was a zombie. The meme has gained much popularity over time and is well known throughout the country and other parts of the world

Zombie Jesus came back from the dead and encourages zombie like behavior
John 6:53 Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you”

The Christian Church is known for spreading the word of god, whether people like it or not. Zombie Jesus is often usedto retaliate against the churches' constant preaching

I really love having these gatherings. Everyone is so creative and tell such interesting stories. Dennis' game is riot. We MUST play that again soon!

We will bring fresh strawberries and either whipped cream or creme fraiche to dip them into...sort of a fruit baptism combined with ritual cannibalism? Hey, two sacraments in one!

We will bring our Playing Gods World Domination board game to the gathering; it should fit right in! It's a game similar to Risk. Five players, each with his or her own personal deity (e.g., Terrorist Buddha, Flying Spaghetti Monster, money, Thor, enlightenment), can play this. We have game pieces available or you can bring your own small Monopoly-type game piece.
