Since no one else has come up with anything, I'm going to bring along my copy of John Perkin's "Confessions of an Economic Hitman", first published almost 10 years ago. In it, Perkins reveals his two decade career helping to keep Third World governments under the thumb of the U. S. and other very rich entities, through what amounts to loan sharking by the World Bank and IMF, as well as U. S. government backed assassinations of troublesome leaders in some of those countries. I think this is especially relevant given the confession last week of the open secret that the CIA did indeed overthrow the democratic government of Iran in 1953 because they had the nerve to want to control their own oil resources. Thus they gave Iran the evil Shah for 25 years, and the rest of the World a headache for the last 35 years.

So, we can riff on this for awhile (or not). It's not a long book, about 200 pages, and I remember the major points of it fairly well. Hope to see some of you there.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
