An Evening with Greta Christina

Join us on the evening of Friday, Sept. 12 at Mavis Winkle's in Independence as we welcome popular blogger, author and activist Greta Christina to NE Ohio!

For years, Greta has been an outspoken advocate for non-theists. In addition to writing for her popular blog on the FreethoughtBlogs network, her articles have appeared in such publications as Alternet, Free Inquiry, Skeptical Inquirer and The Humanist. Greta is also the author of two books directly related to secular humanism - Why Are You Atheists So Angry? 99 Things That Piss Off the Godless (2012) and this year's Coming Out Atheist: How to Do It, How to Help Each Other, and Why. She will be talking about her latest book, and more!

There is no cost for this event; however, we urge attendees to purchase at least a drink, or better yet, a delicious Mavis Winkle's food item or 2! There will be plenty of time for a leisurely meal and mingling before Greta's talk, and plenty of time for Q & A afterwards.
