Meet at the West side of the park close to the Sailboat Boat ramp. We enter the water at 12:00. Please come early with a tank and a dive flag. We can decide if we want to bring a lunch or go to a restaurant after.

The South Florida dive site offers a variety of marine life in shallow water, and parking and diving are free. Divers should be in the water about 20 minutes before slack high tide for optimum visibility and minimum current. Diving is available under either the East bridge or the West bridge. Boaters and fishermen use the area, too. A dive knife is recommended, in case of entanglement.

The East Bridge site includes several sunken sail boats. Divers must be careful not to wonder out into the boat channel. A dive flag is needed. The East Bridge takes about 20 minutes to dive and the West bridge about 45 minutes.

Depths to: 22 feet (7 m) on the east side
and 19 feet (6 m) on the west side.
Visibility: Up to 40 feet (12 m)
Aquatic life: Include stingrays, barracuda, balloonfish, octopus, Northern Stargazers, Polkadotted Batfish, lobsters, and moray eel.

Adjacent Phil Foster Park has open-air freshwater showers, restrooms and pay phones.

Getting there: From U.S. Highway 1, just north of West Palm Beach, turn east on East Blue Heron Boulevard, and cross the bridge. Before you fully cross the bridge you will see the entrance to Phil Foster Park on the left.
