Chris Airey will be giving a talk on "The Digital Ceiling":

Whilst 'digital' makes great strides in the consumer world, its adoption within a business context remains patchy. Chris Airey will give some thought provoking views as to why this maybe from his experience of working with different organisations in different sectors. The challenges he makes will cover topics such as Architecture, Legacy, Organisational Structures and People. Additionally if anything useful comes from the attached survey then this will be shared too!

About Chris:

Chris Airey is a Digital CIO who has been working in Retail and multi-sector Business Services for over 20 years. He is currently the Head of Digital Transformation at Adrmin Re (Swiss Re), the regulated Life & Pensions and associated B2B services business. Previously he was the Programme Director at Equiniti, Director of Change & IT Director at Lifestyle Services Group (part of Phones 4U), CIO of Bezier, the leading Marketing Services, Marketing BPO, Creative, Digital and POP expert.

Prior to that he has been on the boards of Yodel (HNDL and DHL Domestic), Collect+ and was European CIO of RR Donnelley. In these roles he has undertaken various projects of business demerger and integration whilst transforming the service propositions to Clients and their customers through truly integrated multi-channel solutions. For example at HDNL this involved the merger of Business Express and Reality to form the company, as well as separating, migrating and upgrading the entire IT network out of the Shop Direct Group with a brand new IT team. During his time at RR Donnelley he created and delivered a European IT simplification strategy that increased operational flexibility and service resilience whilst integrating acquired Astron people & system assets into the wider business.
