http://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/c/7/9/e/event_191151102.jpeg~~~ Technology for dealing with the causes and consequences of climate change is evolving rapidly. Unfortunately human psychology leads to procrastination when it comes to applying this technology on a sufficient scale to deal with the problems and the dilemma of inaction. Why?

On February 21st Omid Alaei will present The Psychological Approach to Fostering Pro-environmental Behavior. He is particularly well-equipped to discuss the topic because he is qualified in both the technical and the social aspects of engineering. He will be talking about the way we will have to change ourselves in order to be sufficiently motivated to control the change in our climate. There will be special guests, an interactive panel discussion and a book draw.
